Pertamina Expands Market Access for MSMEs, Local Products Now Available on All Pelita Air Flights

Jakarta, 23 July 2026 – Efforts to strengthen the competitiveness of Indonesia's micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) continue to gain momentum. Through a strategic collaboration between Pertamina and Pelita Air, selected products from Pertamina-assisted MSMEs are now available across all Pelita Air domestic flights, providing local businesses with broader market access and greater exposure to travelers nationwide.

This initiative enables Pertamina-assisted MSMEs to showcase and market their products through Pelita Air's domestic network, which connects 15 major tourism destinations across Indonesia, including Banda Aceh, Medan, Pekanbaru, Padang, Palembang, Jakarta, Yogyakarta, Surabaya, Denpasar, Lombok, Pontianak, Balikpapan, Banjarmasin, Kendari, and Makassar.

PT Pertamina (Persero) Corporate Secretary Arya Dwi Paramita emphasized that MSMEs play a vital role in Indonesia's economy, serving as a key pillar of inclusive economic development. Over the years, MSMEs have consistently contributed to national economic growth, job creation, and improved community welfare.

"As a state-owned enterprise, Pertamina is fully committed to fostering and empowering MSMEs as part of the Company's Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) program. This initiative also supports the President's Asta Cita agenda, particularly the third priority on creating quality employment opportunities and advancing entrepreneurship," said Arya.

In line with this commitment, Pelita Air President Director Faik Fahmi stated that the initiative was driven by a genuine commitment to promoting Indonesian-made products. By connecting Pertamina's MSME development program with Pelita Air's customer reach, the collaboration creates a sustainable ecosystem where business growth goes hand in hand with national economic empowerment.

"Our love for Indonesia must be reflected through tangible actions that create lasting benefits. We believe Pelita Air provides the right platform for Pertamina-assisted MSMEs to reach a wider audience. When air transportation can generate economic value while opening new opportunities for local entrepreneurs to grow, connectivity becomes more than just linking destinations—it becomes a catalyst for driving the nation's economy forward," Faik emphasized.

The partnership was formalized through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between PT Pertamina (Persero) and PT Pelita Air Service during the Grand Launching of PAS Sky Shop: "Lokal Terbang Tinggi" at Terminal 3 of Soekarno-Hatta International Airport.

Through PAS Sky Shop, Pelita Air's in-flight retail platform, passengers can now purchase a curated selection of products from Pertamina-assisted MSMEs. Featured brands include Bali Ayu, offering coconut oil-based body care products; Uwaiscraft, known for handcrafted Balinese bags and wallets; and Adabina Scarves, featuring modest fashion and hijab collections.

Komang Yatik, Founder of Bali Ayu Nature, expressed pride in having the opportunity to introduce the brand to Pelita Air passengers.

"We are truly honored to be part of this program. Our products can now soar higher with Pelita Air. We hope this opportunity will not only increase our presence in the domestic market but also open doors to international markets in the future," she said.

The collaboration between Pertamina and Pelita Air reflects the Pertamina Group's continued commitment to strengthening MSME empowerment through meaningful and sustainable initiatives. By providing a dedicated in-flight retail platform for local products, PAS Sky Shop is expected to enhance the competitiveness of Indonesian MSMEs while enriching the travel experience for Pelita Air customers.
