Jakarta, September 2, 2026 – Pelita Air has once again been recognized as the airline with the Best On-Time Performance in 2026 by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Ministry of Transportation of the Republic of Indonesia. The award was presented directly to Pelita Air President Director, Faik Fahmi, in Bogor on Wednesday (September 2, 2026), during the Aviation Award 2026, held as part of the 2026 Coordination Meeting of Air Transport Inspectors.

The achievement recognizes Pelita Air’s consistent efforts to maintain flight punctuality while delivering an optimal travel experience for its customers. It also marks the airline’s second consecutive achievement, following its recognition for Best On-Time Performance in August 2025 by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation.

President Director of Pelita Air, Faik Fahmi, said the award reflects the consistent efforts of all Pelita Air employees in maintaining operational quality and flight punctuality.

“For us, being on time means respecting our customers’ time and trust. This achievement also demonstrates that maintaining consistent punctuality requires collaboration across all operational functions, supported by disciplined processes and the right use of technology,” said Faik.

Pelita Air’s consistent On-Time Performance is also supported by the use of OnTimeX, a digital innovation developed through collaboration among Pelita Air’s operational teams to integrate safety, sustainability, and efficiency into flight operations.

“We developed OnTimeX to create a more integrated, efficient, and precise flight operations process. The technology helps our operational teams manage various flight data and information digitally, enabling faster and more accurate decision-making,” Faik explained.

OnTimeX builds on Pelita Air’s paperless cockpit and operational digitalization initiatives, which have been implemented since 2023. The innovation has received recognition from Airbus through its subsidiary, NavBlue, as well as from Pertamina through the Annual Pertamina Quality Award 2026.

The digitalization implemented across Pelita Air’s fleet of 16 Airbus A320 aircraft also reduces paper consumption by more than 1.2 tonnes annually. Operational and technical flight data that were previously processed manually can now be managed digitally and automatically with greater precision. In addition to improving work efficiency, this helps minimize the potential for errors during the pre-flight stage and supports flight punctuality.

“This award is not the end goal. What matters most to us is our customers’ trust. We want every customer who chooses Pelita Air to feel confident that we value their time and are committed to taking the best possible care of their journey. Moving forward, we will continue to strengthen operational quality, enhance the capabilities of our people, and leverage technology to deliver an increasingly safe, comfortable, reliable, and punctual travel experience,” Faik concluded.
